pepper beef in a slow cooker

Ingredients:

2 pounds sirloin steak, cubed
½ cup white or yellow onions, chopped
2 large peppers, chopped, and seeds and stems removed
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 cube beef bouillon and 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in ¼ cup hot water
Garlic powder to taste

Method:

1.    Heat vegetable oil over medium heat and brown sirloin steak cubes in a skillet. Sprinkle with garlic powder to taste. Here’s a tip: Replace the garlic powder with a tablespoon of fresh minced garlic for a more piquant flavor.
2.    Add steak, onions, peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, salt and beef bouillon mixture to the slow cooker. Mix well.
3.    Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
4.    Serve over rice, pasta or rice noodles.
