Red wine pot roast recipe


3 lb pot roast
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
Salt, pepper
¼ tsp oregano
¼ tsp parsley
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, peeled
1 ½ cups Holland House Red cooking wine
½-1 pound carrots
½-1 pound baby red potatoes


1. Half baby red potatoes, quarter the onions, peel and chop the carrots.
2.Place pot roast in slow cooker, salt and pepper to taste. Add cooking wine, butter, garlic, olive oil, oregano, parsley, potatoes, onions, carrots.
3. Cover low 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
4. Serve with a nice, thick piece of garlic bread to soak up some of the extra juices that are going to seep off of that roast.
