CROCK POT NEW ORLEANS SPICY BARBECUE SHRIMP RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, unpeeled
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine garlic, cajun seasoning, butter, Worcestershire Sauce, hot pepper sauce and lemon juice in the crock pot. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes or until hot
  2. rinse shrimp and drain
  3. Spoon 1/2 of the sauce from the crock pot into a measuring cup
  4. Place shrimp in the crock pot and drizzle with remaining sauce
  5. Stir to coat evenly
  6. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes until shrimp are opaque
  7. Turn to warm for serving
  8. Sprinkle with green onion before serving
