Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
- 1 medium (110g) yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves (15g) garlic, minced
- 24 oz (680g) marinara sauce
- 1 tsp (5g) dried oregano
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (225g) cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup (120g) sour cream
- 1/2 tsp (3g) garlic powder
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb (450g) spaghetti noodles
- 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook for 2 minutes less than the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the marinara sauce and oregano. Let it simmer on low for 10 minutes until rich and concentrated.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Fold in the cottage cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and Parmesan. Mix until the texture is uniform and thick.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
