Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ tsp (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp (6g) granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups (355ml) warm water
- 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (28g) olive oil
- 1 tsp (6g) fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir in the olive oil and salt.
- Gradually add the flour one cup at a time, stirring with a spatula until a shaggy, cohesive ball forms and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead for 3-5 minutes until the surface looks smooth and feels elastic to the touch.
- Place the dough back in the oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes until puffed and doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Divide the dough into two equal portions. Press or roll the dough into 12-inch circles.
- Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
